I’m a big fan of capitalism. What some perceive as greed, in the end usually brings great value to everyone. The free market naturally creates what is needed. And natural cooperation via deals, produces things that no one person or company could create. Though there are good deals and bad deals, (selling at a loss, overcharging, theft) the best way to improve your position is to improve your product quality. The concept of “as you give, so shall you receive” drives free economies to efficiency. So it’s no surprise that “content is king,” that clean navigation and usability help a site, that trying to give something good to the internet, will tend to return something good to you.
Giving to Get
I bring this up on the first post since it relates to the sites name. Enrichment is a 2 way street. Striving to enrich those around you will tend to enrich your own life. Giving to get is a much healthier mindset than trying to get without giving. Sure, get the best deal you can, take advantage of available promotion methods, but make your primary effort to give something to the world.
Trying a new Content Creation Technique
It is so easy for me to get caught up in link building, creating new sites, looking for clever code tricks. Days can go by without new content created. I’m trying a new setup at home. I have moved one computer out to a table in the living room. This will be my designated writing area. The established rule being, no surfing forums, checking stats, checking messages. Nothing but writing there. Forcing myself to work in that zone a few hours a day should increase the quality of all my sites.
