Aaron Wall points out in this video some easy marketing benefits to starting with a blog. I’m already sold on building sites based around word press, for sheer ease of use. When you consider all the additional ways blogging “spreads your word” with trackbacks and feeds, I need a very strong reason to consider any other platform for development.
It’s quite possible to have a successful blog while being blissfully ignorant of SEO and marketing. If you have a passion for your subject and a natural tendency to share your opinion in others blogs…well unless your blog is about rocket science, it won’t require any. (of that rocket science stuff)
And even if you do add a solid fuel booster to your websites SEO, there are plugins available to do most of that work too.
