Webmaster Video Comments: http://... What's your favorite television show? And how do you think you will do without new episodes of it? These are questions that many Americans are asking themselves since the start of the Writers Guild of America strike on November 5th, 2007. The WGA is striking for more pay on DVD sales, but more importantly they want some kind of compensation for Internet downloads and sales. The writers are striking against the big studios and production companies. WebProNews interviewed a former member of the Board of Directors for the WGA, Charles Pogue, a blogger of plaintivewail.com, Stephen Falk, and the press representative for the WGA-East, Sherry Goldman. The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) did not respond to us about inquiries for an interview. Yet every person we talked too felt very strongly about the strike and were unsure when it will come to an end. For more details of the strike and for the exclusive interviews with all three people, keep watching WebProNews.

That's always been the way in America. The upper classes know that class envy is always easy to exploit, because it's the poor getting pissed off at other poor people. For example, President Reagan got lower middle class whites up in arms about black "welfare queens" even though the wealthy stole more from the U.S. treasury in one hour than the poor could steal in a lifetime. It's easier to get upset about someone you see every day than it is to get upset about the super wealthy in limos.

The writers are being very greedy.Given the poor quality of TV shows prior to the strike, I hope the strike continues.
